Kimberly Anderson

Kimberly Anderson is a transgender woman embarking on the second half of her life reinventing nearly every aspect of who she is. She was raised in an orthodox Mormon home, living as a boy on a horse- farm in rural Northern Utah. Anderson has both a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Fine Arts degree from Utah State University. For over twenty-five years she was a practicing documentary and fine-art photographer and was a university lecturer for ten years in Utah. She has worked all over the world with an emphasis in Asia and Scandinavia. She was married for twenty years to a woman and together they have raised two children. Currently Anderson is a recent graduate of the University of San Francisco with an MA in Counseling Psychology. She has been practicing in the San Francisco and Sacramento areas with concentrations on Native American populations, eating disorders and trauma. Her particular specialty is working with LGBTQ+ youth and their families transitioning through various journies of faith and spirituality. Anderson is the photographer and author of the Mama Dragon Story Project, an ethnographic study which documents portraits and biographical essays from over 125 Mormon moms who have decided their love for their LGBTQ+ child is greater than religious dogma. Anderson has pursued a new spiritual path based on truth, science, and love.

Timmy Chou

Timmy Chou, is a serial entrepreneur and a founding partner of Spectra Consulting Group where for nearly 30 years he has performed development consulting for startup companies in emerging technology, life science, and consumer product ventures. Timmy's corporate experience includes serving as a CFO, CEO, and as a corporate Director. Timmy has developed strategies for development-stage enterprises that have produced significant debt and/or equity investment.

Timmy was raised as a Mormon, and served as a missionary, and subsequently in numerous teaching, administrative and leadership roles within the LDS church for over 30 years. He is currently a Board Member for the Exmormon Foundation, and also serves as the current President of SLC Postmos, a non-profit, support-group corporation for emerging ex-Mormons. Timmy is a member of the International Cult Studies Association (ICSA). He resides in Bountiful, Utah.

Tracie Harris

Tracie Harris is a PMP® with a BS in Liberal Studies from the University of Central Florida, with areas of specialization in anthropology, communication, and studio art. She has been active in the secular community as a speaker and presenter since 2006, and previously served on the board of directors of her local atheist association as both Secretary and Vice President.

Jennifer Helsby

Jennifer Helsby is the Lead Developer of SecureDrop , an open source whistleblower platform used by the TTF that allows sources to anonymously send documents and messages to journalists. Previously, she was a postdoctoral researcher at the Center for Data Science and Public Policy at the University of Chicago, where she worked on applying machine learning methods to problems in public policy. Jennifer is also the CTO and co-founder of Lucy Parsons Labs , a non-profit that focuses on police accountability and surveillance oversight. In a former life, she studied the large scale structure of the universe, and received her Ph.D. in astrophysics from the University of Chicago in 2015.

Leigh Honeywell

Leigh Honeywell has more than a decade of experience in computer security incident response. She is the co-founder and CEO of Tall Poppy, a startup aimed at combating the problem of online harassment by increasing access to high-quality personal security tools and services. Previously, she was a Technology Fellow at the ACLU’s Project on Speech, Privacy, and Technology . Her industry career included running security incident response at Slack, protecting infrastructure running a million apps at Salesforce.com, shipping patches for billions of computers on a monthly basis at Microsoft, and analyzing malware at Symantec. She is also a coiner of the Al Capone Theory of Sexual Harassment . Leigh has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto where she majored in Computer Science and Equity Studies , and is a frequent keynote speaker at security and software conferences around the world.

Brianna Malcolmson

Brianna Malcolmson is an information security professional and advisor with over ten years of experience transforming the security posture of cloud based companies. Most recently she founded the Red Team at Atlassian where she helped drive foundational change to secure its over 100,000 customers. She is a graduate of Penn State University’s Security and Risk Analysis program where she specialized in Information and Cyber Security. Brianna is a regular conference speaker presenting to technical and non-technical audiences at the Red Team Summit, Australian Women in Security Conference, team.work(), and NBT. Her opinions on security have been quoted in articles from Business Insider and CSO Online. Investigation and research are passions of her's and she is an advocate for preventing and exposing oppression and abuses of power.

Trevor Timm

Trevor Timm is a co-founder and the executive director of the Freedom of the Press Foundation. He is a journalist, activist, and lawyer whose writing has appeared in the New York Times, The Guardian, The Intercept, USA Today , The Atlantic , Foreign Policy , and Politico.

Trevor formerly worked as an activist at the Electronic Frontier Foundation . Before that, he helped the longtime General Counsel of The New York Times , James Goodale, write a book on the Pentagon Papers and the First Amendment. He received his J.D. from New York Law School.

In 2013, he received the Hugh Hefner First Amendment Award for journalism.
